We have multiple yoga classes going on this year, including music, movement classes, lectures on health and wellness, guided meditation and more! At the Big Bear Yoga Festival, you can expect a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere filled with a variety of activities centered around yoga, wellness, and community. Expect a beautiful yoga event in the San Bernardino Mountains. We play under the sun and trees. This year our yoga classes are held mostly inside, with a few classes outside the Performing Arts Center building. The live music performances are energetic and sparkling. The vending area is full of small businesses with amazing offerings. Expect a welcoming and fun event!
Here are some highlights to look forward to:
Yoga Classes: There will be a diverse range of yoga styles and levels, from gentle classes to challenging vinyasa flows. You’ll have the opportunity to try different styles and learn from experienced instructors.
Wellness Activities: Expect activities like meditation sessions, sound healing, and breathing techniques, which can enhance your overall experience.
Fun Activities: Fun and laughter is good for your health and your wellbeing! We bring to you a Creator's Village for arts and crafts and fun interactive spots around the festival that change each year. The After Glow Yoga Dance Party is a great time for all. Additional classes include: Tai Chi, Creative Mural Painting, AcroYoga and more!
Vendors: There will be booths featuring local artisans, wellness products, yoga gear, and healthy food options. It’s a great chance to shop for unique items and gifts.
Community: One of the best parts of the festival is the sense of community. You’ll meet fellow yogis, make new friends, and connect with like-minded individuals.
Nature: Being in the San Bernardino Mountains, you can also enjoy the beautiful outdoor scenery. Most classes are held outdoors, allowing you to practice in an inspiring and grounding natural setting.
Live Music: Enjoy live music that complements the yoga experience, adding to the overall ambiance. Kirtan, a call-and-response chant or song, is offered to go deeper or check out for the first time for the new yoga student.
Healthy Food Options: Look for healthy and nourishing meals, snacks, and beverages in the Vendor Village. You are welcome to bring your own picnic lunch or snacks too!
Kids Activities: There is a full schedule of activities and classes for kids. Kids 17 and under are free! New this year is a Parent's Co-op. You must sign-up in advance. Contact Maya at 909-488-8817 to find out more.
Make sure to bring your yoga mat, water bottle, and an open mind to fully enjoy the experience!
Weather can vary and you should plan accordingly. In October the days can be warm, and nights cool. Bring hats, sunscreen, and appropriate clothes. Bring your yoga mat and any props you prefer using! *Please bring a refillable water bottle.
We have amazing vegetarian vendors coming this year! You can bring your own food items. There are many picnic tables at the festival and on the hiking trail to enjoy. *Please bring your own refillable water bottle.

In addition to your choice of lectures and classes with expert teachers, you have access to: Guided Meditations, Meditation space in the mountains, live music, Kid's Play Area, Vendor Village and more!

You do not need any experience for the majority of classes. The teachers are trained professionals and can accommodate beginners. Classes are marked by level of difficulty. Classes geared towards intermediate or advanced students are identified for your information. NEW this year is our updated Schedule that includes a special menu to identify Easy, Medium or Demanding classes.
Sorry, but ABSOLUTELY no dogs whatsoever (except guide or service dogs). We love the dogs, but they should stay home where they are safe.
No. For 2025 we are limiting the numbers of tickets sold and we do not expect any to be available at the door.
No. All of the classes are open to all festival goers with full Saturday tickets, first come first serve. You may choose to take whichever classes you wish, when you wish.

The festival is an easy drive, and is within a few hours from Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Palm Springs, Orange County, and San Diego. We encourage people to carpool! Coming from a distance, you can fly into the Ontario Airport. There are a few commuter buses too.

Everyone is welcome! We have beginning, easy and introductory classes just for you! This is a wonderful opportunity to explore and try something new! More experienced students will also have a wide range of classes to pick from, and an opportunity to deepen their practice. Accessibility Features include:
Wheelchair Accessible: Class held in accessible area with smooth and solid flooring.
Outdoor Accessible Spaces: Class held in an outdoor area with varied surfaces, suitable for participants with mobility aids or limitations. Surfaces include gravel, carpet, dirt and asphalt.
Steep Incline: Class held at the top of an incline.
Long Distance: Class location is a distance away from facilities.
Hikes + Yoga: Class involving outdoor walking or hiking, suitable for individuals with moderate to demanding activity levels.
Hike + Meditation: Class involving outdoor walking or hiking, suitable for individuals with easy to moderate activity levels.
Meditation: Meditation and mindfulness practices, beneficial for all participants regardless of physical abilities.
Breathwork: Breathing exercises and techniques, suitable for all levels and abilities.
Chair Yoga: Exercises are performed seated or using a chair for support, suitable for individuals with limited mobility, seniors, or who prefer a seated practice.
Gentle Yoga: Gentle movements and poses, suitable for beginners, seniors, or individuals with physical limitations.
Delivery Aspects:
Accessible Instruction: Led by instructors trained to provide modifications and accommodations for participants with diverse needs.
ASL: Led by instructor who communicates using American Sign Language. All welcome.
Veterans: Class for veterans. Active duty, veterans and first responders welcome.
Difficulty:
Demanding - Advanced and active students that want a challenging practice and understand complex directions. May include inversions. Students must know their abilities and limitations and are responsible for their own modifications.
Moderate - Medium level of difficulty and activity. For students who have practiced yoga before and understand basic directions. Variations provided, but student is expected to implement them independently.
Easy - For students NEW to yoga, people with injuries or limited mobility. Provides instruction on basic yoga postures with direction and support. Gentle and Chair Yoga classes fit into this category.

We encourage you to bring your own cup or water bottle to the festival. We strive to limit the waste created at the festival. Water bottles can be filled at the water fountains inside the Performing Arts Center.
Health and Safety Protocols:
At Big Bear Yoga Festival your health and safety is paramount. Our new Health and Safety Protocol focuses on maximizing the use of outdoor spaces. We will follow County Health and Safety requirements and those required by the venue at the time of the event.
