Wren Schaefer

Wren is originally from Oxnard, California, but had quite the journey before she ended up working as the studio manager at Ventura Circus and Flying School. She studied Spanish and Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara, during which time she spent a semester in Madrid learning about Spanish literature, tapas, and siestas. Wren was a Student Coordinator for the Orientation program for UCSB where she helped guide the future freshman and their parents into life at the University. After graduation, Wren worked for the UCSB Registrar’s office until she got what she thought would be her first “Real Job” working with teenagers at the all-inclusive resort of Club Med, Sandpiper Bay.. pub Med allowed her to learn French and interact with people from all over the world, but most importantly it had introduced her to the circus. She fell head over heels in love with the cirque show and began training in flying trapeze. Wren flew around as a trapeze instructor in Florida and the Dominican Republic until April 2012, when she stopped her work at Club Med. She decided to shift gears and teach trapeze to great group of kids at a summer camp in Pennsylvania. Wren finally made her way back home where she is elated to work with such talented circus performers and find a loving circus community in her own backyard.
