Jennifer Sparks

Jennifer Sparks – voice, flute, harp, guitar, piano and harmonium – is a classically trained musician with a degree in music performance from UCLA and a certificate in Voice Pedagogy from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. She developed a love for devotional, spiritual music at church, singing and playing many instruments for services. Her love for devotional Sanskrit chanting started when she met her Guru in 1995. With her Guru’s blessing, she began her daily practice of yoga, chanting and meditation. She did music seva for several years singing and playing harmonium; leading morning chants and leading chants for Satsang. Currently, as a kirtan musician, Jennifer joins kirtan artist Girish, Jim Beckwith, Jim Gelcer, and Saul David Raye. Jennifer feels so blessed and so honored to have several live music offerings at Breathe Yoga in Redlands. She leads the Devotional Chanting and Meditation group on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm, performs live music Monday mornings at 9:00am with percussionist Marcus Miller and enjoys joining many guest musicians for special events at Breathe Yoga.

Jennifer is a former Cal State San Bernardino and University of Redlands adjunct professor. She is the owner and one of the music instructors at the 6th Street School of Music, an active music school in Downtown Redlands.
